STEP 2 : ANALYZE THE AUDIENCE

In order to analyze the audience, there are several factors that you need to consider, such as cultural factors, age and income.

Cultural factors. This is rather a sensitive issue to some people. So, in order to avoid such conflicts, be careful with your choice of words. If you feel that the audience are getting offended by your speech, try changing the topic and not emphasize on it more. Riots can happen because of that.

Age. Logically, if you were about to give a talk to a bunch of kindergarten kids, would you give a talk about the country's economy growth? No, right? You might want to read them some storybooks or sing lullabies to them. Speak to your audience by using simple words; so that the message is conveyed clearer and is comprehensible.

Income. For some people, this topic is private and confidential. To them, it is not necessary to tell others how much are they getting per month. As for the rich ones, you guys should not talk about your income way too much to the lower class people as they might feel inferior. That ain't cool afterall, right?
