Comunicating through prayer

Prayer is expressing oneself  to a superior religious diety in the most humblest of ways repenting for when you have offended the All Mighty and giving thanks for all the good things He has provided. When we pray,we basically speak to our selves assuming that the God we are praying to is tuned in.Quite often I ask my self,is prayer not a form of intrapersonal communication? If it really is a form of communication, how come we do not get a direct feed-back?Or does our God communicate back non-verbally?

With prayer one can convince oneself or talk oneself out of doing something or of a situation in the process of expressing you feelings and problems to God.It is also possible that one can provide encouragement for oneself through prayer conversation.

All in all, prayer may be perceived as a form of intrapersonal  communication when taken to deep thought, but may also be a true two way conversation between humble man and God,in which these faithful see God's feedback alsmost as clearly as if they were talking to someone they can see.
