LOVE. Amor. Pyar. No matter what language you use, it is a subjective topic. It depends on the individual how he/she perceives love as. There are many types of it; Eros, ludic and manic, to name a few. Eros love focuses on the physical attractiveness only. The person who is experiencing this kind of love would go to the extend where qualities of a person do not matter anymore. Ludic love only seeks entertainment, joy, and fun. If the other person is no longer fun, then it's a bye bye. When the relationship loses its spark, then it's time to go for another person. (Pathetic, I know). Manic love is basically to give and receive 24-7 attention and affection. Like most teenagers nowadays do, they tend to control their partners in every single way possible. They call that tender loving care, I call that obsession. For instance, if the boyfriend does not want to do anything to reciprocate the girlfriend's favor, then that is it. The beginning of World War III.
PRIMARY RELATIONSHIPS & FAMILIES. Based on the text book, a primary relationship is a relationship between two people that the partners see as their most important interpersonal relationship. Some families are headed by lesbian or gay couples who live together under the same roof. In the normal culture, the traditional nuclear family also apply to these relationships.
FRIENDSHIP. It can be categorized in 3 parts : Friendship of Reciprocity, Receptivity and Association.
Friendship of Reciprocity : Mutual affection, generosity and self-sacrifice. It is usually what true friends do to each other.
Friendship of Association : It can be described as a friendly relationship, rather then a true friendship. In other words, the people whom you are dealing with in this category are only known as your casual friends. You don't really trust the person so much, and you don't disclose too much about yourself to the other person as well. For example : neighbours, classmates.
As a friend, I don't really know how to describe friendships in words because it is something that you feel. It is very personal. The best thing about friendship is it is more than saying "Babe, I love you lah". It is totally beyond words. And I literally thank God most of the time for blessing me with such great friends.
