Why we need to study Human Communication?

The first chapter we learn is about "The Essentials of Human Communication"
before i study this subject,i have many question,why we need to study human com?
we communication all the time,but that is not easy to let others understand what we communication about...
that's why argue always happen...

we need to study many communication skill to learn how to communication with other people...
i confuse with intrapersonal and interpersonal communication before the lecture...
after the lecture,i have some idea with this two type of communication:

intrapersonal communication means we communication with ourself.
i try to know the things about myself....
actually i always don't know what i am thinking...
i also always confuse why and what am i doing.....

interpersonal communication means we communication with other people arround us.
we can built relationship with communication,
we can know the difference idea from other people,
we can sharing information or knowlegde with our friends,
we can also make conflict with communication.

Example:
we learn friend with communication,
we share anything we like with our friends,
we talk any topic with our friends as we like;
in contrast,
we also will make enemy if other people misundersanding what we talk about,
maybe what we talk or actions will offend other people but we don't know.

in real life,we always face communication problem with friends,family,lecturer or other people arround us.
although sometime we talking a good thing but maybe that's a bad news for other people.
this all because of a simple reason:
talk by us,
heard by others.
