Hearing versus listening

Hearing is accepting sound waves as they are being released but not perceiving them that makes the difference between listening and hearing.Listening is so much more than just watching someone's lips move and nodding your head subsequently,it is infact taking in the information, analysing it and evaluating its importance to you. This process may seem rather long and frustrating considering the large amounts of information that we have to take in within such little time spacings. In contrrary, the time to analyse and evaluate information is sufficient as the speed at which the the mouth lets out words is slower than the speed at which the mind takes in the information so the extra time,if one takes great care not to waste time can be used to perceive the information correctly.Vanessa Bitature
