Miscommunication

Miscommunication is the misunderstanding and misconception of messages between two or more communicating parties. It may be caused by a number  of reasons among others, not paying attention to what is being said therefore hearing differently from what is being said. This usually happens in the classroom where a daydreaming student does not pat attention to wat is being taught and so fails to understand the topic. Also,it occurs among defensive people who do not pay attention to the other party's argument but only listen out for what can be used against the speaker and so misunderstand the whole argument.

Secondly, miscommunication may be caused due to the lack of communication itself. For example, when a close friend does not speak to her friend the whole day, when she passes her in the hallway, she does not even shoot her a glance. In the mind of the mistreated friend, she thinks that she has offended her friend dearly in a way she is not aware of and yet actually, her friend,a poor communicator that she is is merely having a bad day and has not spoken to anyone the whole day.The lack of communication could lead to the creation of assumptions, most of which are false.
